There's a lot of terms for gay men. Off the top of my head theres bear, otter, pig, chicken, meerkat, wolf, bull, daddy, twink gaysian (gay asian), and queens. Then you also have tops, bottoms and versatiles.
In a simplfied way, sure. Bear and twink are very opposite from one another. In another direction you could easily have the wolf who is a lean, muscular, and agressive (in terms of pursuing someone) gay man. It wouldn't easily fit into a twink to bear gradient... So i personally wouldnt say it's a single linear spectrum and there's a few different directions it could branch out at when describing gay men.
