Tesla owners are tech bros not environmentalists

Tesla owners are tech bros not environmentalists | Contrary to popular WRONG belief of conservatives. Teslas are not all EVs and any non tesla Ev owner generally despises the company. Despite teslas being shite cars they do in fact produce less CO2 year over then 8 ton steel cosplay cowboy security blanket trucks. Because you don’t need to transport electricity in giant tankers to charging stations. NOW EXCUSE ME WHILE I SIT BACK AND RELAX AS MY USED I3 CHARGES AT HOME FOR .50 CENTS WHILE I SLEEP ON HYDRO POWER WITH A NICE BOTTLE OF 50 DOLLAR BOURBON THAT I BOUGHT INSTEAD OF GAS. I fully support EV…anytime you can get child labor to dig 8-12 hours a day in foreign countries for lithium and cobalt so I can drive 184 miles is a good thing

Nice deflection there champ buuuuut
Hyundai and Kia U.S. manufacturing caught using child labor here:
https://www.drive.com.au/news/hyundai-subsidiary-busted-using-child-labour-usa/

And republicans have lowered the ages restrictions on child labor including Wisconsin Arizona and other states to name a few…

So If your gonna concern troll maybe pick a topic that republicans are better on…and not one where they are worse…. Just a suggestion.

But yeah child labor is cringe ngl. Wished it wasn’t in use everywhere. It’s a shame we don’t have tighter laws or dare I say…rules that limit the use of child labor and give prison time to those caught violating the law instead of fine…oh wait those are regulations which conservatives and libertarians are against…shucks…

Most EVs this day and age can push the 260-320s in a full charge…

Also if your commuting more then 181 miles a day god have mercy on you because purchasing a vehicle that gets 18mpg on highway was probably one of the worst financial decisions you’ve ever made.

If that’s what you took from my comment it’s no wonder that what they say about porcupines and bmw’s applies here

As for driving, there are months I dont travel 181 miles total

So, what is the range life your i3?

You’re thinking of Audis.
Bmws can’t use turn signals which I can confirm because who ever invented the flick stick turn signal mechanism should be pickled in brine and put on display in German engineering schools as to how NOT to design something. Right next to the cyber truck.

Range life? If you mean battery life 15 years. If You mean my estimated range well it’s an older discontinued used model so roughly 81 but I hardly even use twenty. No busses where I’m at or I’d use that.

Only got it because it was either that or a leaf because my Mazda 3s clutch was on the verge of death and the mazda was barely worth 3k. that and fuel costs. Pure right place right time situation.

Fun fact about range anxiety people rarely use more then 1/2 their range total daily. And as much of moron Musk is on cyber truck he was right about one thing and that building EVs capable of doing 600miles are pointless since 90% of the time they won’t use it which will make the battery degrade quicker.
[deleted]
0 ups, 7mo
Oh right sorry the newest model before it was discontinued had a range life of 160 miles despite it technically being a subcompact car.

I know grammar is munted from touch screen use Viking but…you missed the bit about my vehicle being powered by hydro power (solar too.)

But also I love how you are non stop ranting about how government tries to force you to do shit and here you are advocating ev users to only get their power from renewables despite most people charging at home…and they can only vote on what their grid runs and push for renewables unless they have the proper permits to do it themselves but good luck with nimbys on either one of those fronts or god forbid an hoa.

Well unless your in a right to charge state but even then your probably looking at a pain in the ass court case.

Also god have mercy when will you ever stop deflecting.

Oh yeah because the right genuinely gives one iota of a shit about natives.

Save your concern trolling for when you have an admin in power that doesn’t send only body bags to native territories and instead sends testing kits and medicine during a pandemic yall claimed would never reach the U.S.

as opposed to using that same vehicle to make a 7k lb truck and trucks to carry fuel tanks, and tankers to stations so it can be burned in said truck and only get 22mpg vs an EVs roughly 50 mpg equivalent even with my old ass ev.

Maths is hard. I’d know it was my major in undergrad.

Tell me when did you finish calc 3 and differential equations?

That’s rich coming from you.
You know given how frequently you pretend to have an argument by posting random deflections.

Like suggesting a fascist society for ev users but claiming big government bad because you don’t believe their concerns are genuine. When if your not driving a Tesla a lot of non Tesla chargers use renewable energy.

When you concern troll over co2 emissions but have zero problems with the car industry keeping your security blanket trucks at 18-24mpg to make people feel like men and vote against public transportation or vote in officials who’s public transportation policies are “f**k the poor.”

LOL... it was the Biden regime who made fun of poor people not being able to own EVs... sure stick them on public transportation... and give the rich subsidies to install home EV charging stations... sure... that's the ticket.

What the hell are you talking about EVs over a certain value don’t qualify for any of the tax credits.
Teslas are one of them, same for polestar, and a lot of other brands like the Audi etron are considered too much of a luxury vehicle to qualify.
Hell I don’t even think the home station credits exist anymore because wall chargers can be gotten for as cheap as 200 bucks.and if your a non tesla owner YOUR CAR COMES WITH A CABLE.

Seriously why do you keep making shit up about ev owners if you have zero clue as to how they work and what they qualify for?

Also yes public transportation is the most carbon emission efficient method for commuting. I am also on record saying I’d use public transport were it available and it does help the poor more then offering literally nothing.

Literally your words claiming ev charging home chargers get subsidies.

Or did you genuinely not know EVs get a tax credit as long as they didn’t qualify as a luxury ev?

Fun fact
The reason why we have all those 'cosplay security blankets' is because of federal regulation.

Emissions requirements for small vehicles was too difficult to accomplish with modern engines so by making the vehicles larger and putting the engine in that instead, it bypassed the requirements.
THEN because the vehicle was so much larger and heavier, it puts a bigger strain on the engine, creating even more emissions .

So now we have millions of 5 tonne vehicles driving around as opposed to what customers want
[deleted]
0 ups, 7mo
That’s about half true. The regulation bit was spot on but it causing the vehicles is more businesses once again not wanting having to conform to regulations because it created more risk with their profits.

It wasn’t so much it couldn’t be done and more so they didn’t want to have to spend more money on research, design, and the risk of new lines of cars that could be rejected so they exploited a loophole and wouldn’t need to change it up as much.

4 door sedans have better mpg even ignoring the Prius. But kudos for not making shit up like a lot of other conservatives. Have an upvote.

16,000? No 7k yes he works in sales drives a Toyota tundra on raised wheels and with a let’s go Brandon sticker has not a spec of dirt on it nor has he towed anything for the company. While everyone else in sales drives teslas, newish bmws, and in one case a jag.

My boss with a Chevy Colorado who always has some dirt on it because he lives outside in the boonies, actually hauls equipment for the company on occasion, and has to haul some construction equipment both call the sales dude a cosplay cowboy because he wishes he was as blue collar as my boss. When my college granola munching ass fits that bill more then him.

Never throw shade at my boss for owning a truck because he actually uses it and he doesn’t throw shade for my ev because we both got our cars for the same reason. It’s what we needed and what we could afford. He’s only not a fan of ev trucks because he wouldn’t know how to fix it himself. Where as I could but don’t have the space or tools. But he wishes he could fill up his truck for less then 50 bucks in his sleep.

It’s a big ass truck not for commercial use.
[deleted]
0 ups, 7mo
Oh right and the guy in sales is a right munted dickhead too.

But I could make record sales too if I kept selling ultrasound equipment we didn’t have in stock nor could produce quickly enough unless we force people to work overtime which cuts into the companies profit margins.
