There never was any science to support giving children puberty blockers. Science was showing that hormone therapy was failing to give the desired results for gender change in adults. That led to the theory that it MIGHT be effective in prepubescent children. This led to the push to transition children before puberty in the hopes that it would create a permanent change. It’s one giant illegal experiment on children that should be brought before the Nuremberg court for human rights violations.

Yes, and the reason that the medical community didn't even self-correct in this regard is because it was backed to the hilt by powerful and influential movers and shakers on the Left with a political agenda. Not an ideological one, mind you. Ideological agendas are for plebian leftists. Their string pullers don't really Do ideology. They are way too cynical and calculating for that.
