The flags on the top of my template are the multisexual flag, demiromantic, noetiromantic, and bisexual.

The bottom portion top row has aliquissensual, AFAB, polyamorous, audiosexual, and Nonbinary flags. Under that in the second bottom row is the demigirl flag blending into the demifluid flag.

I included the demigirl flag because my most common gender combo is Nonbinary and girl or feminine. Lately I've had longer lasting strong streaks of being in boy mode though which I just switched out of today. I think in my next template remake, I might remove demigirl and just make the very bottom part fully demifluid.

Nonbinary, demifluid (gender fluid with one gender that stays the say and another that changes), and demigirl (someone who partly but not completely identifies with being a girl) are the only genders mentioned other than boy and girl.

Afab means I was assigned female at birth. My sex is female.

Demiromantic is feeling a romantic connection only after a strong emotion bond with someone. Noetiromantic is romantic attraction from a mental connection.

Aliquissensual is feeling sensual attraction (the feeling of wanting to be cuddley with someone) to others for their personality, not their gender.

Bisexual/multisexual, being attracted to multiple genders. They are very similar orientations. Multisexual also works as an umbrella term for anyone who is bi, pan, omni, etc.

Audiosexual is an attraction to the sound of someone's voice.

And lastly polyamorous is ethically dating multiple people with their knowledge and consent.

Why did we make so many genders

That's just kinda how language is... If there isn't a word to describe a certain thing, feeling or sensation it gets invented so people can better describe something and hopefully be understood.

Using a word like demiromantic to describe myself is shorter than having to repeatedly say to people who show intrest in me "hey, I'm not into strangers romantically no matter how attractive they are. It's nothing against you. I only potentially develop romantic feelings for someone after we have a bond and I've known them for a very long time. Even then, it might not happen so... I'm sure your lovely but no thanks. No I don't care that you're a nice guy... or anything else you might tell me... no you can't have my number. I'm not going to change my mind... cus I feel very disgusted by the the idea of even thinking about dating someone I don't know or doing something romantic with them. Yes I'm bisexual, but that's different from my romantic intrests..."

The ways my romantic and sensual attraction develops is different from my sexual orientation so I'm a fan of using and haveing specific micro labels to describe my experience.

And I find having multiple labels for my gender is helpful too. I mainly just use demifluid and Nonbinary and then might further specify that I'm feeling masculine, in boy mode or girl mode to describe where I currently am on the gender spectrum.

And then Afab is just what I am biologically. I was assigned female at birth. Everyone has a sex. Everyone is either female, male, or an intersex variety.

It can be a lot to remember, but I find it all very useful.

Why cant we just have one gender thats just one huge umberella term. People would just be educated in the fact that when one person with a p**is and one person with a va**na have sex, babies can be born. In the future we could even have the ability to change reproductive organs.

The closest I can think of to your hypothetical ideal future is if there was a future where everyone would be agender (someone who identifies as having no gender or having very little connection to gender). That would be quite different from what we have now.

Personally, I don't think it'd be all that helpful if gender was set up that way. I like having specific terms that mean certain things. It makes it easier to understand each other. But I understand maybe your frustrated with how things currently are or that there's too many terms (which I totally get. There's loads of terms I probably don't even know about even thought Im very well versed in the subject) so I'm sorry about that. I'm sure, eventually, more of the terms will become common place knowledge and the amount of new terms being created will slow down at some point. Until then, if theres a gender or orientation you don't know, Google is your friend (or you can ask me if you prefer and I'll get to answering that when I can).
