I think they are in comparable as they are both shonen but the structure of their stories are quite far apart I love both of them, So i won't be taking any side cuz I think you can't compare something that is quite different from each other.

As someone who loves both series I believe jjk>hxh

Also jjk is more similar to bleach but hxh does have a lot of influence

Besides your blind hating is only adding to the greatness of this masterpiece because if it really did suck, nobody (including you) would care since it wouldn’t be worth talking about.

I meant like blind hating towards well acclaimed shows because people are jealous that they are doing better than their favorite show and stuff. For example, people hate on shows like one piece, aot, hxh, etc because they’re mad that they’re either more popular, get more praise, or do things better than their favorite show. And when a show gets popular, it will have haters no matter what and most of their hate is pretty blind like calling one piece “too long” or stuff like that. And the hate only adds to the hype since it’s talked about more.

Also that’s a different case. Everyone knows that boku no pico sucks so they rarely talk about it. Hell I rarely see them talk about it and when they do they’re joking about how bad it is. While on the other hand, popular well written shows like one piece, aot, hxh, etc will get trashed on much more often by butthurt anime fans who are jealous of their success.

Quality over quantity

I’m just gonna give out my opinion to resolve some loose ends here. HxH is better than jjk because of the awesome worldbuilding, strong characterization and development, the greatest power system, deep themes (themes of courage, revenge, friendship, humanity, consequence, moral grayness, etc), the deconstruction of shonen tropes and all that other shonen stuff, etc. Also Hayao Miyazaki (the genius behind studio ghibli) once said that “If you just have non-stop action with no breathing space at all, it's just busyness, But if you take a moment, then the tension building in the film can grow into a wider dimension. If you just have constant tension at 80 degrees all the time you just get numb.” That describes the biggest problem with jjk, there is only fighting and no room for worldbuilding, story, character development, etc. Also 75 percent of jjk’s fights have no emotion. In my opinion a lot of the characters are very uninteresting. The author focuses too much on hype moments and shock factor rather than writing a compelling story with an emotional heart and all that other good stuff. And that’s why I think hxh is a masterpiece and comparing it to jjk is disrespectful to hxh’s greatness in my opinion.
