Incentives are not mandates.

California Is mandating the end of sales of new ICE autos and restricting non-EV trucks in certain areas. Joe Biden has claimed that we will no longer sell new ICE cars in the near future.
I predict a big market in Nevada and Arizona for selling one month old used cars to people in California!

Well that sounds shitty for California (assuming it’s true which I doubt because conservatives even get the electric stove mandate info right.)

But California contrary to popular belief of conservatives is not in fact all of America nor is Joe Biden the governor of California.

What they choose to do in their state is their business unless it gets to circumvent federal law they are allowed to enforce tighter regulations on their vehicles if they so choose.

Outside of California (again assuming you’re right.) to my knowledge there are no EV mandates only incentives and it is absolutely to your right to purchase an ice as it is my right to purchase an Ev. I just get a tax break if it only had one previous owner and isn’t a luxury ev.

The Meme also pointed out that you people can’t make up your mind if carbon emissions are bad or not. If it’s a hoax why care about emissions? If it’s not a hoax why not allow people to choose to drive a car that has a lower footprint then a truck over its lifespan (assuming zero green energy is used) in 7-10 years.

Up here in the Great White North commie shithole we just received a 23% carbon tax increase and soon municipality tax for EV owners because the wear and tear of EV's on our roads.

You people claim capitalism should be the basis of every voters decision well I as a capitalist made the economic decision to switch to a used Ev with less maintenance costs, less fuel costs, smaller profile, and happens to be better for the environment then a truck in the long run for my commutes to work since public transit isn’t available for my needs.

Oh no EVs wear down the road more so I have to pay taxes to help keep the roads in better repair. How awful that I have to contribute to the maintenance of the very service I use…ignoring the fact that SUVs, Trucks, and semis cause more wear and tear on roads then sedan Evs….just awful that I have to be a productive and contributing member of society that I benefit from.

Hell if there was a bus route for my job my carbon emissions would be non existent because I’d make the capitalist decision to pay 62 dollars to get to work a month instead of the 268 for the car, 145 for insurance, and the 16 dollars in “fuel costs.” Not to mention maintenance.

I do not know if evs wear down the road any more than my van. I pay gas tax which pays for roads. It makes sense that Canada and eventually the US should impose a road tax on evs.

Also the free charging stations should be paid for by only ev owners taxes.

That’s what your registration fees for hybrids and EVs are supposed to be for.

Regarding ev chargers…that’s a fair point…BUT…

90% of chargers in public areas charge fees and those that don’t are usually complimentary to promote business like at a major shopping center.

So that’s already being done for example qfc in a city I live near offers free lvl 2 charging in their garage.
My work paid for its stations and pays for the electricity.

The only public free charging I’ve seen offered by any state is some bus stations with parking garages offer 110 volt outlets that offer free electricity..but you need to bring your own cord and it’s granny charging so takes 8 hours…and it’s bus riders only. So tesla owners who don’t get a cable with purchase of their vehicle are screwed.

No one is forced to purchase an Ev you can buy a used gas cars. They still exist. And new gas cars are still being made.

Don’t be obtuse. The Biden Administration is doing everything they can to mandate these electrical boondoggles.

That’s it, conveniently disregard California mandates and upcoming bans of ICE autos and trucks. Ignore the massive increase in national debt due to unnecessary subsidies of EVs and solar.
