The patriot act suspended habeas corpus since the early 90s.

They have been doing the illegal searches, now they want legislation that makes them legal in order to prevent admissibility arguments.

That is the equivalent of law enforcement agents being granted the legal ability to enter anyone's home/property any time they want without cause or reason.

Dangerous to freedom.

Puts "democracy" at stake.
