Yep, I think you most likely got it right Jay. The husband is probably most likely a butch lesbian who might prefer to use masculine pronouns and titles but still identifies as a woman or a demigirl thus making their relationship still a lesbian one.
The other explanations I have are the husband could maybe be a genderfluid person or a bi-gender person or maybe just someone who uses multiple sets of pronouns so Jenifer is being accepting of that by calling her lesbian lover/spouse her husband.
The kids could be adopted or they could be kids from one of her husband's previous relationships which would technically make them her step kids but she could still call them her children. Theres also the possibility of in virto fertilization (previously called test tube babies) where an egg is fertilized by sperm in a lab and then could have been transfered to the husband assuming he has a uterus. Other than surgracy, IVF is another way same-sex couples can have children.
And the reason for someone who is married to be on a dating site (if it's done with their partner’s knowledge and consent) is likely polyamory, an open relationship arrangement or they are swingers (partner swapping). It's probably not the last one though if she's a virgin.
