I'm not a newbie on reddit. It was featured in subreddit about memes.

Someone trolled us hard yesterday, more than usually, so I wanted to poke around on imgflip and found a labyrinth of strange esoteric drama.

I'm always fascinated by unmoderated parts of the internet. I asked who the veterans were here, and the names that were dropped were "vagabondsouffle" and few others. Dunno, that was seemed the most interested. Mostly for the name. For fun, I copied and pasted a couple of his insults with a Maganutter that started to troll me here. They were too witty to resist.

From the looks of it, most of the old-timers here are internet addicts or sociopaths. A real rabbit hole of cult-like obsession over politics and imgflip meme sub-culture. Gave me my dark internet curiosity fix for the day.

Like I said, I don't care if you have alts or not. You didn't answer me, though, if it was true or not. Guessing there's a reason for that. In any case, thanks for the convo. Happy trails.

Vaga went semi-dormant in early 2021. Check when most of these memers joined. Most of them never heard of, let alone, encountered, Vaga, and those that did are still not talking about the sheer ginormity of his scintillating awesomeness four flippin' years later.

I told DJFox about DrStrangeFate's alts as I spotted them back in 2018 - before you and I even crossed paths - just from your interactions with him. What makes you think that all these years later I'm going to fall for it when I didn't back when I didn't even know who you were?

I understood the first part. But I dunno. To be honest, the rest seems too 'inside-your-head' for me to know how to properly respond.

But from what I can see, "Vagabondsouffle" is one of those super-dedicated trolls. A one-man cult of depressive Method-acting trolling vanity. I don't know the others you mentioned but I'm guessing it's more of the same.

I think a lot of damaged people like the aforementioned probably need to come up for air occasionally, and stop sinking into the mopey wacked song of themselves. Otherwise, they just become one of many whiny troll Hamlets in a race for rockbottom. But it always fascinates me to no end by how the really dedicated lifer-trolls are really actors in way, playing characters who replace performance with the actorly exhibitionism of mental illness.

Yeah, the person behind "Vagabondsouffle/Modda" is an obvious internet addict and some kind of predatory online sociopath

I could only imagine, given all the rageaholism, something probably more sinister in a personal setting. From the sound of it, he's clearly over the age of 50 at the very least. Likely older. So he's been doing this a long while. Wouldn't be surprised to learn he like probably a fan of Mad Max movies, or anything like that where nihilism and anarchy are given coherent expression and normalized in some accessible way. He kinda has this Toecutter vibe about him. Honestly, it's charming in its own way! But ultimately too toxic. You don't want to let one of these types into your head. They live to push your buttons.

The ALTing, the obsessive trolling, the alternating delusions of grandeur and persecution, the compartmentalization, the double-standard where he gets triggered over other people with multi-accounts while hypocritically having a few of his own. Distill it and it's all really just textbook anti-social behavior typical of the 'train-wreck-of-a-person' who gets off on being a mess, if that makes sense?

So it's not worth overthinking it any of it, or even them, or reading too much into what they say. Just chaos junkies/w**res looking for you to enable them with good or bad attention.

They see their personal damage as a license to be a toxic-ahole and indulge in the freedom that comes along with it. It's a dark chaos fix for them that comes from messing with others, and being outside the rules of decent human conduct.

For fun, another good hyperbole is the "Invisible Man" movies, which were always a metaphor for how modern technology trapped a malevolent psyche in an unseen state, which the internet certainly does by making angry people 'invisible'-- at once allowing these creeps to feel both impotent and obscenely powerful — a corporeal ghost who can do anything they dream of.

Imgflip with its isolated, unmoderated environment and strange forum style is a perfect stomping ground for them. It's Skull Island from King Kong, but for the meme-loving internet sh**-talkers.haha
