Tsarist Russia I think... I really don't know Russian history well so I will say that

Good choice, though I personally prefer the Russian Empire

I like the bridge between the Russian Empire and Soviet Union.

I'm still unhappy about his assassination, because he actually tried to make Russia a better and happier place for its citizens. The people who killed him ruined it all.

Russia could have been better with him

Russian empire easy. They had one of the largest empires on earth, ruled for over 200 years and a very powerful army.

It was technically 196 years, but it is very true that they had a very strong army. They were one of the biggest world powers, and lasted almost 150 years longer than the USSR. It is easily my favorite country from all of history.

My grandparents and great-grandparents would also agree that it was the worst. Some of them even served time in prison, while others were forced to serve in the military. Luckily, they didn't take part in any conflicts.
