This is nice also it reminds me of the backrooms just a bit

It's based on that

In the lone streets of an Italian downtown, Sap and Data were walking down the streets.
It was night, a cold night.
Sap: It's right around the corner

They go around the street corner and enter a building. They go into the building's yard and go down some stairs.
There's a door locked with several locks, Sap opens them and they both walk in.

Inside, a medium sized room with various tables with blueprints, papers and tablets on them.

But there was a window, from the window, a large room, gigantic. It was dark so they couldn't see.

Sap restored the power and now they could admire the gigantic machine.

Data: Woah.... I saw the blueprints you gave me, but I didn't know it was THIS big...

Sap: Well we could probably rebuild it smaller, but that'll take too long.

Data went to one of the tables and picked up a paper.

"H.D.M.D.S - 237-01-03" “11/03/2001”

"Experiment 07"

"It just won't work, I've asked S.A.P. to do some hard math, and the results should come in tomorrow. This could revolutionize everything.”

Data: You didn't tell me what “H.D.M.D.S” means.

Sap: I think it stands for “High Density Magnetic Distortion System”, but I might be wrong.

Sap shuffled through some papers, while Data looked around and admired the place.

Data: …This was all built by one guy, right?

Sap: Yeah, incredible isn't it?

Data walked around, she found a door that led to the large room.
She entered… The machine looked even bigger than before, it was like a gigantic door.

Even though it was powered off for hundreds of years, it still emanated such powerful energy, like if it was stuck in time.

*Sap from a microphone*
Sap: Cool isn't it? That theoretically is a door to a parallel dimension.
*Sap gets off the microphone*

Data looked back at the machine

Data: How will we even make this rusty door work…?

Sap knew everything there was needed to know, and so did Data, but they didn't have a source of energy powerful enough to aliment the monstrous machine.

Data: I could make a source of energy

Sap turned around to look at the machine.
Sap: This is very old, you'll probably need to adapt it to old style electronics.

Data: Nothing I can't do!

Sap: I'll be experimenting in my lab

Data: Your lab?

Sap: Oh yeah, I have an entire lab in my head, in the virtual world!

Data: Ok

Data started working on a stable source of energy, while Sap went into standby mode to experiment and test the machine in his mind.

Data finished quite fast, and so did Sap.

Sap told Data that from his experiments, he figured out that if they let the portal stabilize completely they won't be able to close it but if they don't let the portal stabilize the portal will violently close.

So they started working on the machine, and sure enough it took them quite a long time.

Only connecting the energy source to the machine was hard, testing the durability of the machine was going to be even harder.

Sap didn't want the same result of his creator's last experiment, but he didn't want to create an unclosable door to another dimension.

Either way, after quite a few months, they finally finished the machine. It was time to test it.

Log 13 - 05/09/2001

The tests are going great, even if I can't make a stable doorway yet, I can cause a reaction for a split second.
S.A.P. 's results were very useful, but even if I had all the time to study them, I just can't get my head around it.
He may be becoming more intelligent than me, but so is L.I.A.M. .

It's time, a few more days and I'll start the reaction again.
The cops have already shown up twice. I can't keep hiding the bodies.

Log 14 - 10/09/2001

I have all the data. The generator is ready. Tomorrow, I will open it. And keep it open.

I should start writing down the key components so that I can make more.

-End of Intermission-

Data and Sap were in the viewing room, ready to start the reaction.
Sap's hand was grasping a lever firmly. That lever controlled the stability of the portal.

And so, Data pulled a big heavy lever and the reaction started.

Sap: I'll pull it at the right moment, get ready to turn the valves!

The rusty machine started making high pitch noises and the gears started turning.

In the middle of the doorway was a plate of dense metals and when the reaction started, it glowed bright.

Sap: Turn the valves!

Data turned the valves specified by Sap, and the machine made even higher pitch noises. The entire room started shaking.

Sap slowly pulled the lever and the glowing plate started to glow more and more and shifted to a yellow que.

Sap pulled the lever to the middle and struggled to keep it in place.

And then, there it happened.
Everything shook, the window broke, the walls crumbled.
But there, the door was open.

The other side was weird, it didn't look natural, like if it was made by humans, but at the same time not.
There stood a man. Suprised or afraid.

Data: Who's that?!

Sap: I-I don't know! But I can't keep it open for much longer!

The man walked through the doorway. He looked around, he had a mask, a hood and metal armor, so no one could have known who he was.

Sap tried to push the lever up, so it would close the portal.
Sap: DATA! HELP ME!!!

Data ran to Sap and helped him push the lever.
They finally destabilize the portal, and it closes, creating a loud shockwave that could be heard almost everywhere in the city.

The man stood there, looking around.

Sap and Data ran down the stairs, but cautious of who the man might be.

As soon as they arrived, the man took off his mask and fell to his knees.

His eyes filled with tears.

???: I-Im home… I'm f-finally h-home…

Sap: Who are you? *He said while keeping his distance*

???: T-That voice? That voice?! *He stood up and looked at Sap*

S-Sap…? I-Is that you…?!

Data: He knows your name?

Sap: My data says nothing about him

???: Y-You don't recognise me?
*He slowly approached them*

Data: Stay away!

Sap: Who are you

*The man took off his hood and metal armor*

???: I-Im your creator…

Sap: Impossible! He died years ago!
And even if you were, you can't prove it.

???: Oh yes I can. There's one thing only I know. My true name.

Sap: …?

???: My name… G.T.

Is Giacomo T.

Sap: W-What? Impossible…?

*Sap ran to him*

Sap: You're really him?!

G.T. : …Yes… I-I am…

*He fell on the floor*

Sap: Data quick! Help me bring him to a hospital!
His body isn't reacting well to the environment!

They rushed out of the basement.
A paper flew from one of the tables, a paper neither had read. That paper wasn't even professional. It came from the portal.

It was a rough paper with the same handwriting of Sap’s creator.

“Personal Journal”

“S.A.P. if you read this, then I have died. I hope you will be able to continue without me. If anyone, anyone else comes out of that cursed door. Kill them, and send them back to this bloody hell.
No one can escape. Not even I. Who knows how much time I've spent here…
Im bleeding."

"I'm trying to stay positive, but I think my time has come.”

“There's one more thing I need to tell you-” *the paper is burnt and it covers the whole paragraph*

“Remember. No one must escape from this hell.”

This feels a bit similar to the kane pixels version of the backrooms but it's still pretty good
