It making "girl boss" characters is for money. I'm not as knowledgable about it making characters black, but the most likely answer is money. It's all about money.
But no matter why they do what they do, they ain't woke. They've cancelled shows for having gay characters. They are not what you classify as "woke", they're just greedy.
And they're certainly not going broke 'cause they're "Going woke!", They're just releasing bad movies. They're most recent movie was a dumpster fire. And it wasn't due to them being "woke".
