Microwaves use a safe type of non-ionizing radiation. the only danger to you is if you remove the mesh in them and then the microwaves will just burn you. they don't give cancer or anything. just burns, and again that's if you remove the mesh. plus they're a Godsend sometimes. microwaves have made most people's lives easier. also I believe microwaves get infomercials, not ads.

The only downside is they make almost everything splatter and explode, and you have to hold your fork/knife/spoon awkwardly while you wait for your food to be ready. But it’s way faster than an oven, idk abt the radiation safety tho
