Ed Buck donated about a half a million dollars to the campaigns of Democrats in his life. In 2018 he donated $2,700 to Schiff, the maximum a person is allowed to give to a congressional campaign. A donation in that amount was made by the Schiff campaign to "The Trevor Project," in lieu of returning the money to Buck. That is the extent of Schiff's contact with Buck. To call them "best friends." is a gross misstatement of facts.
