This is why small farms are so important, and we need more small family farms not corporate farms. But that also an issue because the family farm must abide to the seed contract set by the corporation.

The real question is why are governments at war with farmers? I don't know. It makes no sense. The legacy media isn't reporting it, and it is happening worldwide. I wish someone would explain it to me.

It started when the government mandated the process of pasteurizing milk followed by mandatory antibiotic injections for all milk cows, followed by the subsidized crop incentives, basically putting the milk farmer out of business, and depleting the soil quality with a lack of crop diversity.

Yes, pasteurizing milk is mandatory. Antibiotics is not manditory. Most farmers do use enzymes to increase milk production. US government does buy milk to keep the price up. Make cheese with it. Soil quality is a huge subject, crop rotation, fertilizer, etc.. DumbF, might be helpful if you watched a few videos about modern farming.

Antibiotics were mandatory in the late 80s and 90s it caused tons of diary Farmer to stop farming diary cows. That changed around 2000 but their was a time shortly after 1987 when the FDA made pasteurizing milk a requirement, that they moved on to making the use of antibiotics a requirement. I don't need to watch modern farming videos because I've spent the last 20 year petitioning the local government to set laws that regulate the sale of chemicals by companies and application processes of individual farmers. Laws that place farming practices would be nice. Just because a few farmers are passionate about good farming practice, doesn't mean the neighbor down the road is doing the same. This subject is revolving around cash crops, and I find it disgusting that someone can tout they no till, yet they have to spray the entire field dead in order to get a crop planted without tilling. I've seen it and observed it cause I had nothing better to do.

No-till farming is still a thing? They used paraquat! I didn't know. I thought all milk had to be pasteurized to sell it. Goverment regulations are sometimes good, protecting consumers and the environment, and sometimes they are just stupid. Modern agriculture is complicated. Even though I have been around farming all my life, I don't think I am qualified to talk about it in any depth.

Although pasteurizing milk has been the requirement as of 1987, the practice has been in place since a French man developed it in the 1800s... But still to this day in some states you can find sellers of unpasteurized whole milk straight from the source. Drink at your own risk. There is also the unpasteurized conspiracy that some people believe the government was in on. I don't drink milk personally because it always made me sick, but some claim if you drink whole unpasteurized milk it's easier to digest, and has a higher nutrition value. I'm thinking about trying it, realmilk.com is a website that helps consumers fink real unpasteurized milk in their state.

There was once a time in my childhood where I drank whole milk before my family stopped dairy farming and honestly I couldn't drink store milk since. I was that kid in school trading my milk for food. Absolutely disgusting. I even recall a teacher forcing me to drink the milk or else I couldn't leave the lunch table. Those were the days... No wonder kids hated school.

I grew up around farming. My father always had cows. It is very tough business. Small farms can grow produce and raise animals like cows efficiently. There is definitely a place for corporate farms also. Without corporate farms, we would pay a lot more for food. Small, family farms could not produce enough food for everyone.

If you control the food, you control the people.

I'm afraid you might be right. It is as if the EU is purposely destroying farmers.
