I think context is important here. I do not believe he is talking about the Olympics, but the workforce is hiring diversity over qualifications. Want a example of how wrong it can go? Here have this one.

That said. Diversity IS A STRENGTH. That’s why America wins the most medals in the Olympics. It just has to be competitive. Just like it is for the Olympics.

Just giving someone a job will make people more racist than giving the best person the job. So, if I am an employer, I have to be intentional when hiring the best candidate with the qualifications to do the job. That is my responsability to my company and my employees. Diversity can go F itself, but does not mean that I can't be diverse on my hiring, just that diversity should never be a reason to hire just for the intention of being diverse.
