Apart from that these two streams seem pretty similar. How come you're separate?

The two streams were started at different times by different owners and for slightly different reasons. Essentially the same memers post to both streams and everyone gets along just fine with the volunteer moderators.

The Conservative Stream is the older stream but the Real-Politics Stream is growing very fast and currently has a higher volume of postings. But that comes and goes.
