It's got problems but I still love it

It's got problems but I still love it | Just finished the high grade shin burning Gundam!
Here are my thoughts on it; Finally... after 4 whole months I FINALLY have it. I saw this thing back in October of last year, ordered it in January, then it got delayed several times and showed up here in February. Luckily this thing does NOT disappoint, but that doesn't mean there aren't any problems. And yes I realize October would mean 5 months but I'm assuming it was a little later in the month; For looks, it's about as good as I expected! The red is a bit brighter in photos than it is in real life though, I'm not sure why. The blue parts also shine green and purple at the right angles but I'm not sure how well you can see it here. For weapons what you see is what you get. A sword. As you saw at the start there's a second one with a fire effect; For articulation It's only really limited in one place: the torso. It can't bend forward and any bend you do see comes from the connection to the hips popping out slightly. Other than that this has a VERY good range of motion, just with a few tight joints like the arm's connection to the shoulders. Speaking of the shoulders this has a pretty unique mechanism that lets them move forward a little, but while I was messing with this one side got stuck on the chest and I couldn't figure out why, so I trimmed it down and now it's not a problem; The wings have a few features. One of the most prominent is how they can be used as a cloak. This is achieved by removing the wings and changing the current connector for a longer one that reaches over the shoulders. For what I've done on the other side you need to line the wings up incorrectly with the normal connector. There's a little part in each wing segment used to make them parallel, which you could theoretically cut off, but I won't because I'd rather not do it manually. When you have both sides in cloak mode it looks like this. This is my best attempt to make both sides line up correctly. As for the other effect parts... they don't look that good. Also you've probably noticed by now that I've painted the sword, and trust me it did NOT look good before. I'll put a comparison to the original in comments. I don't know why they had to use THIS for a fire effect. It barely looks orange, and at certain angles it reflects blue. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO REFLECT BLUE? Once I get my hands on some orange paint I'm definitely painting these. Anyway the punching effect has a pretty simple attachment. It just connects to a hole in the knuckles of the hand parts. For the kicking effect... It's not as simple. There's this weird connection point in the ankle that you have to take the effect part apart to connect to, and even when you get it connected it's pretty loose. This also has a surprising amount of open hand parts. There's your standard holding hands, some closed fists, widespread open hands, and these karate chop hands. One of the main themes of most of the different burning Gundams is their usage of hand-to-hand combat, so it's not surprising that it has these. I haven't built any other version of the burning Gundam so I might consider getting one at some point. The effect parts are honestly a disappointment though, especially compared to previous burning Gundams. This definitely isn't EXACTLY what I expected, but I still LOVE this thing nonetheless. It requires a bit of extra effort but luckily I started making customs recently, so I actually had the ability to put in that extra effort. And it was VERY worth it in the end. 8.7/10 | image tagged in gundam review | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Here are some of the extra parts I could identify.

The shin burning Gundam is a variant of the kamiki burning Gundam, so the extra shoulder and hip armor pieces are likely from that.

For some reason there are TWO extra backpacks, and one of them even has one of those green/purple shiny blue parts

There's also an adapter part that fits into some holes on the back of them. These backpacks aren't compatible with other kits because the shin burning (and likely the kamiki burning) have unique backpack connections.

As for the rest of them they seem to be joint parts

Oh wait I missed one there's a part that attaches to that extra shoulder piece that I accidentally put in with the joint parts

Ok, last thing I'll add here.

Most of these stickers are easily replicated via panel-lining. Mainly the black ones.

I painted them because why not but I'm pretty sure you can just use a panel-lining marker

You could probably make the circular ones by painting with enough effort but I don't think it's worth it
