Quinton Lucas, the Democrat mayor of KC fought against increased police budgets. He also fought to move funds away from police departments for liberal "feel good" projects. He was quoted saying: "What this is really about is not defunding. It’s about accountability." No it was about defunding, but good try!
Quinton Lucas was also the subject of a recall a few years back due to "poor judgment and inadequate leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and civic unrest the occurred and continues in 2020."
Kansas City, MO is also a bit of a high crime city. Much higher than similar sized cities. Violent crime here is 91% higher than Portland OR, 54% higher than Sacramento CA, and 155% higher than Pittsburg PA!
So all in all, we'll hear Dems scream gun control while the truth is simple. The city is ran by a "community organizer" who hears angels singing in his head when he stands in front of a microphone. Meanwhile violent kids with zero skills besides gang banging run riot in the streets. Literally!
