My close friends are well aware I’m a furry, but to those I’m not as close to, I say I’m a character artist. Which isn’t wrong, that’s what I do, but it’s easier than saying, “Yeah, I draw furries for half of my paycheck,”.

Tell ‘em the truth, that it’s a fandom and not a sexual thing, and the amount that does partake in the sexual aspect is like 3 percent of the fandom, I know multiple anti-furries and after I explained what furries are they realized they didn’t need to be jerks about it, I believe in you
