My service number was US56726***. I was in the Army then. I am among the 65%+ who never made it to the Southeast Asia theater of operations. lost more than one High School alum to that war. I also knew at least one guy who went to Canada, rather than serve. My service was shortened when I was hospitalized with TB. I ended up working most of my adult life in service to Veterans, I was reminded almost daily of the "Price of Freedom," paid by others in our name. I doubt you or many MAGA have done anything for anyone else. All you guys do is whine about how hard it is to not have everything handed to you on a silver platter. Life is tough, then you die.

Trump promised to pull us out of Afghanistan, Biden gave the order. If you knew anything of how the military works you would know that you expect opportunistic attacks when you withdraw from a position. Afghanistan was no exception, No officer or other leader wanted the deaths that happened. As always, they did their best in the worst of circumstances Biden is the President who will get credit for removing our troops from being "Sitting Ducks," for no reason. He must also take responsibility for the cost of the withdrawal. So be it.

Please check your facts. It is standard protocol to disable any equipment that is left behind by choice. That happened in Afghanistan, The only weapons not disabled were small arms carried by individual Afghan soldiers and other insignificant equipment.

Wait, wasn't it actually Trump that made the deal with the Taliban, no less, having them sign it in a meeting in which no members of Afghani government that we spent two decades in attendance? Biden merely kept with the agreement, only extending the deadline for withdrawal by whatever months in order to prepare for it.
