They are setting it up for Big Mike. They know people will vote for him in a heartbeat and drop Biden as he never existed.

Two problems with Big Mike, though. He or she is not a trained politician and is not much more intelligent than Kamala Harris. Thus Trump would have her for lunch during a debate. Obama hitting the campaign trail for her would be meaningless since HE had to drag Bill Clinton out of retirement in 2012 to campaign for him, as people were already tired of his lies and race agitating.
