I get we're not all saints, but we actually have good people on our party, unlike some I could name.

See, that's the thing - they might be considered good people if it weren't for what they're willing to accept from the extremely bad ones.

But you know what they called the German citizens who patriotically supported their government during WWII, right?

Yeah... most don't actually have spines. They know what needs to be done, but they think they're helpless. Trump was inflammatory and even childish at times, but he knew what needed to be done and actually did it. And no, basically no non-RINO Republicans are Nazis. Plus, do you know what Nazi was the shortened form of?

Do you know what DPRK is the shortened form of? Are they either a D or R?

Everyone knows by now that things that are "democratic" or "the people's" are neither democratic nor for the people. They are neither democratic nor a republic; they are totalitarian states. Also, nazi was and is the shortened form of "national socialist".

The point is the name is misleading - National Socialism is a far-right form of totalitarianism.

That's why neo-nazis in America wear the stars and bars and red hats, not BLM shirts

Yeah, but totalitarianism is directly incompatible with capitalism, not to mention the fact that it's just evil. When has totalitarianism not resulted in mass killings? When has capitalism?

"I was a businessman doing business" is funny on its face, but Trump is a businessman, and could not have reached the heights he's gotten to if he was living in a totalitarian state. The "MAGAts" as you call them (it works as a pun, at least) don't really understand the candidate they support.

I will add, I can't believe I'm doing this well in an internet debate. Normally I do way worse.

What would lead you to erroneously believe totalitarianism is incompatible with capitalism?

You're doing far worse than you think.

Capitalism is the economic system where the government doesn't get involved as much with economic activities (mainly limiting itself to keeping people safe from dangerous/misleading products), and totalitarianism is the system where the government does get involved more than it should (infringing on human rights in the process, such as religion and pursuit of happiness). Capitalism trades some safety for growth, and totalitarianism sacrifices growth for safety.

Capitalism is, as you correctly began, an economic system. It isn't remotely concerned with the political system with which it finds itself paired as long as it can a) convert everything to capital, and b) centralize that capital into fewer and fewer hands over time.

There's an entire spectrum of political ideologies packed between Anarcho-capitalism and Authoritarian Capitalism, and the latter is a hair's breath away from totalitarianism, if they aren't one in the same.
