You know, I've realized that many on the right renown Henry Ford as a model businessman and even use him as an argument against minimum wage and labor unions because he was a businessman who paid his workers a living wage without unions demanding it or minimum wage laws mandating it. The problem with their argument is that not ever businessman is Henry Ford, just because one businessman in the past willingly paid his workers a living wage doesn't mean every other businessman is gonna be generous enough to do so, after all Jeff Bezos tries to get away with paying his workers as very little as possible and even subjects all those Amazon warehouse workers to inhospitable working conditions. And Donald Trump is also notorious for refusing to pay those who worked for him. He refused to pay a contractor who helped build his casino and he is still refusing to pay his lawyers. The reason why Henry Ford paid his workers a livable wage was probably only because he wanted to make himself look good for he was a notorious anti-semite.
