Yeah! Unions can be useful... and they served a purpose in the past (but they are more like the mafia now)... and too often they demand beyond what a company can afford... especially in downturns! Maybe $170,000 but I doubt that as the salaries range between states from $19/hr and 30/hr. I have seen 47/hr for full-time workers on the new 2023 contract... but that works out to around $102,000/yr. The other $68,000 will not be cash in hand but rather benefits such as health, welfare, and pension contributions.
One can see UPS introducing new robots to do that work... endlessly... and ongoing it will be cheaper... with no unions!

True, this figure was put out by the union so they could pat themselves on the back and get a bigger take. I was a contract driver on UPS loads for a while, they do a lot of stuff right, but like anything, they have a lot of areas to improve. It won't be the drivers that get cut, but the guys loading and unloading the trucks and aircraft. The automation on freight handing at places like Amazon and Walmart will be more cost effective than personell now.

And for those who are going to shrilly scream... "But, but, but, this is only one company!"
Shove it... this is happening all over America today! This is just one weakly croaking canary!
