And actually - it depends on the business. If your mission statement of your business is in part to provide positive benefits to the community in the form of good paying jobs... Yes, in part your business has opened up to provide jobs. Some of the most successful small businesses start with this idea at the top of their mission statement.

Next time you have an electrician or plumber roll up...ask them what their company mission statement is.....rotflmao.

No..the point is either they wont have one...or wont know it...so a mssion statement is exactly that...a statement.

Typically the person coming to inspect the electric... Is hired by a company. If part of that company mission statement is to enrich the community... No, that person wouldn't know it.

If the person who showed up was the business owner and you asked them what their mission statement for their business is, and they didn't have an answer? Find a better person to do the work. They are obviously a fly by night contractor of sorts

You just said your partner - and described criminal activity. So you were either gullible to partner with a criminal, or you knew it wasn't on the up and up.

Let's just say for arguments sake... That's it because you were gullible and got roped in by a criminal. So your business failed because of lack of foresight to not do Maintenance Work as well as New Construction - and then because of the partner evading taxes.

What did you do after that? Did you just curl up and a ball and die? Or did you persevere through failure and still land on your feet? Did you survive it? Do you still Hire People like you did in the early 2000s or do you just work for someone else or a corporation or whatever....
