I am now old enough to say that I can remember a time when the FBI was an actual law enforcement agency.

Aye; I remember when it got progressively more corrupt and fascist minded at the end of J. Edgar Hoover's reign and then was finally smacked back by Congress. It was given an upper level hierarchy personnel enema; and then seemed to operate on the reasonably straight and narrow for decades after that. But during Obama's reign . . . it gradually and openly started slipping year-by-year into fascist minded corruption again. This is one's nation on Leftism.

Just like our once powerful military, I am sure the Christians, conservatives and patriots were forced out or left in disgust.

Especially after it was revealed that this same hyper-corrupt and ideologically politicized upper hierarchy of the F.B.I. started investigating their own conservative-minded personnel for being . . . religious-minded, patriotic, law-obeying . . . conservatives.
