No. Your comment on the bottom of the meme is rather sophomoric

It was fought to preserve the Union.
The Confederacy was several states that decided to secede from the Union. Abraham Lincoln’s sole reason for prosecuting the war was to save the Union.
Abraham Lincoln’s own words:
“ My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union.”

I thank God that my parents were immigrants and had no dog in this fight. There are an awful lot of racists here who want to blame me for slavery because of the color of my skin and the color of my eyes and the color of my hair.

The secession evolved from disagreement over slavery being permitted in the new western territories.

The existing slavery in the South and in the North was not at issue.

Freeing slaves was not even considered until late in the war of northern aggression.

🤭(I put that in there to tug the strings of the leftists liberals that serve the true racist party)

Even then freedom from enslavement was purchased by enlistment into the Union army.

And by the contemporary law of the land, slaves, purchased human beings, were considered property.

The South Carolina Declaration of Secession, formally known as the Declaration of the Immediate Causes Which Induce and Justify the Secession of South Carolina from the Federal Union, was a proclamation issued on December 24, 1860, by the government of South Carolina to explain its reasons for seceding from the United States. It followed the brief Ordinance of Secession that had been issued on December 20. The declaration is a product of a convention organized by the state's government in the month following the election of Abraham Lincoln as U.S. president.

The declaration laid out the primary reasoning behind South Carolina's declaring of secession from the U.S., which was described as "increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding States to the Institution of Slavery". The Declaration states, in part, "A geographical line has been drawn across the Union, and all the States north of that line have united in the election of a man to the high office of President of the United States, whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery."

So what. The Civil War was waged to preserve the Union.

That was the outcome, and the goal for the North. If the South's goal was to "Preserve the Union," they never would have seceded and there would never have been a war. The demand that they be allowed to own other Humans (Slavery) was their clearly stated reason for firing on Fort Sumpter. Exclamation Point.

I spoke of Lincoln and the Union.
If frogs had wings , they wouldn’t bump their asses every time they jumped.
No. They fired on Fort Sumter because the Union wouldn’t abandon the fort when called to do so. It would have been dishonorable.

I don’t care about S Carolina’s reasons.
I affiliate with party of Lincoln, Republicans.
The only racist I see are on the Left. The Democrats are the party of slavery and oppression. Just ask the German -Americans that the Democrats interred during WWI and the Japanese - Americans that the Democrats interred during WWII.
No, Larry, your party is the one that have become absolutely fascistic in the last few years.
There is no racism in the Trump agenda.
That is a Democrat thing.

The Southern Democrats were clearly the heirs of the racism that caused the Civil War. In 1948, Harry Truman, who had recently de-segregated the Armed Forces, accepted a Civil Rights Plank to the Presidential Platform for the Democratic Party. Senator Strom Thurmond from South Carolina helped form the "States Rights Party," and was their candidate for President. Thurmond and most of his "States Rights," former Democrats were lured by Nixon's Southern Strategy to the "Party of Lincoln" after LBJ and Republican Everett Dirksen formed an alliance to pass Civil Rights and Voting Rights legislation.

If there was no racism in the "anti-Muslim, Mexcans are Rapists, White Nationalists are fine people," Trump agenda, he never would have won in 2016.
