Funny that you mentioned MLP - I actually wrote a short science-fantasy story about what would happen if Humans and Ponies had first-contact; here's a pictorial-format copy of that story if you want to read it :>

Interesting. But you say "if" humans & ponies met? You may not have noticed that there is a human name in this meme: Megan. There was a time in the early days of the series that the ponies were threatened by an enemy that they couldn't handle. So they searched other dimensions for someone stronger than themselves. When they heard somebody saying that she regularly rode ponies, they found their champion: farm girl Megan Williams. She did know ways of fighting that the ponies didn't, & working together they succeeded. She came back to help them at other times as well.
