The next day Kenji goes through the recovering city of Skulkera in Heavenly Bay, he encounters a single, homeless Inkla woman with a young child. Kenji helps the woman and takes her to his home where the woman turns out to be a single Inkla mother. Kenji feeds the mother and child.
“Thank you, do you mind if I get your name?” The Mother said
“I’m Kenji” Kenji said
“Thank you Kenji, I am Yuki and my daughter is Haru” The mother said as she also points to the young child

1 Year Later
Kenji’s household rations have started to become scarce, Kenji and Yuki had started to worry about Haru, and Kenji is still unemployed. As Kenji is searching on his cyber-phone, he can’t find a job that pays enough for the three of them, when he suddenly comes across a high paying job that hasn’t been taken yet by much people.
“Yuki, I’ll need you to take care of Haru for a bit longer” Kenji said
“But Kenji, Haru might die of Malnutrition soon and we still don’t have much cash left!” Yuki worried
“That’s going to be over soon, I think I found a proper job!” Kenji said
“Really, does it pay well?” Yuki said
“Yes, it’s from the Inkversian government” Kenji said
“What is it about?” Yuki said
“It’s the Inkperious War cleanup effort to clear up quick transportation lanes” Kenji said
Yuki sighed in disbelief but she knew that this job may as well be better than no job.
“Well… what spacecraft are you using?” Yuki said
“The job description said a specialized spacecraft that is made to make the job as safe as possible” Kenji said
“Okay… well good luck then” Yuki said
Kenji nodded and he walked out of his house and to the job site. Kenji saw the specialized spacecraft and it had looked like a 2000s style boat with space suited thrusters and one Phasular 15mm gun on the back of it. Kenji looked at the spacecraft with disappointment and some interest. Suddenly three people emerged from the boat. There was one Inkversian elf, one Inkling, and one human.
“So this is the new guy joining us” The Inkversian elf said
“We needed a fourth person nonetheless” the Inkling said
Kenji kept confusingly looking at the three men and the three caught on.
“Oh we forgot to introduce ourselves” The Inkversian elf said “Well I’m Jiro”
“And I am Akira” the Inkling said
“I’m Kenta” The third guy said
“Well I am Kenji” Kenji said as he was introduced to his crew
Soon the specialized spacecraft took off and they soon went into the outer interplanetary space of Asteri. As they were in space, a blue bubble surrounded the spacecraft but the bubble didn’t impair their vision, and instead gave them oxygen to breathe. Soon Akira and Kenji were on the back of the spacecraft while Jiro and Kenta were talking about how the Inkperious War was detrimental on civilians and most importantly; taxpayers.
“Okay so what we primarily do for this job is that we clean up the mess that the Inkperials made from many different battles and stuff like that, anyways that’s not the point: we are supposed to clear up the quick transportation lanes of all the drifting bombs and other dangerous debris” Akira said
“And so how do we do that?” Kenji said
“We do it with the 15 millimeter Phasular light machine gun” Akira said
“Got it” Kenji said
Soon Akira notices a bomb drifting through space and Akira quickly mans the gun. Akira starts to shoot at the bomb but he misses his shots.
“I’m not the best shot” Akira sighed
“Let me try” Kenji said as he went up to the gun
Kenji tried to shoot the bomb but to the same results. Soon Jiro failed to shoot the bomb as well and Kenta walked up to the gun.
“Let me show you guys how it’s done” Kenta said
Kenta fires the gun and he hits the bomb in under 4 shots. Suddenly Kenji notices a bomb drifting toward the bubble and he points at it quickly. Kenta quickly turns the gun to point at the bomb and shoots the bomb before it can hit the bubble.
“Okay so Kenji will be Kenta’s bomb detector” Akira said
“You got some good eyes” Kenta said
“Thanks” Kenji said
Soon Kenji and his work crew had depleted the amount of debris and bombs near Asteri by 3/8ths before they had ran out of ammunition. After many refueling later, they had cleared out all the bombs and debris near Asteri, and they had gotten their paycheck early because of their excellent performance.
Kenji soon returns back home with some boxes of Inkversian rice and Inkversian teriyaki cosmic chicken when he sees Yuki in a strange outfit.
“Y-yuki… what are you wearing” Kenji said
“I’m wearing my work outfit!” Yuki said
“Wait, you have a job – so then what does Haru do?” Kenji said
“Haru is with my aunt while we both work!” Yuki said
“Okay” Kenji said in relief.
Soon Kenji and his work crew are sent out to the Ink-Androm subspace and their 15mm Phasular light machine gun was given a box magazine. Kenji questions why they are out here but Akira says that the Ink-Androm subspace needs to be cleared too as said by the Inkversian government.
