Millions? As in multiple million? Since the Revolutionary War ended, 646,596 American troops have died in battle and more than 539,000 died from other, non-combat-related causes

The men and women who served since then. The American Indian wars, Vietnam, Korean, WW1, WW2 civil and revolution, all required men and women to fight for America. I understand that civilians didn't die in the millions, but civilians who fought in the American wars over the years died in the millions. War is sad either way you look at it. Still Americans don't need to go fighting in them, when war has been waged and ended so they never had to be faught in again.
