Great, more bad news. Although I do find this a bit ironic(and sad) because one of the themes of New Vegas was foolishly holding onto the Old World - The characters from Big MT, NCR and Caesar's Legion, Ulysses, Elijah(obsession with Old World riches/treasures that don't mean squat in the post apocalyptic world). The sad part is that it's clear the TV show creators really didn't pay attention to the finer details of the lore.
Here is the list of things the TV show screwed up so far-
Making an exact duplicate of Megaton for the TV show even though Megaton is in DC, NOT LA.
Making a 'sister ship' for the Brotherhood of Steel's flagship that was in Fallout 4. According to lore Maxom was only able to make one of those things.
Using real life automobiles instead of the game's Cordvega.
Making the Brotherhood of Steel's mission statement to 'bringing law and justice to the wastelands'. That was NEVER their mission statement! Their goal is to hoard dangerous prewar technology and to put a halt to any new dangerous technology. While on the surface it seems noble but how they do it is draconian because they are cult like in certain ways.
TV show non-Feral Ghouls do not look like Ghouls. As some YouTube commenter put it; "TV Ghouls look like Red Skull from Captain America movies." Ghouls are meant to look WORSE than that for a reason. Ghouls are practically immortal(radiation immunity and don't have to eat or drink, don't get sick or age. As long as they don't receive a catastrophic injury they won't die). The trade off is that they look like death warmed over twice and their brains may rot and degrade over time eventually turning them feral.
My biggest concern is that the TV show will try and answer the question that has been unanswered since Fallout 1 - "Who/what caused the nuclear holocaust?" While there are plenty of suspects and evidence it is always accompanied by 'reasonable doubt'. This is also a question that should be answered in the original source being the video games and not a spin off TV show.
