Not quite. In reality every square foot of nature is filled with death and unintentional cruelty as organism eat other organisms . . . every square foot.
Hahahaha! No it's not; just ask the native after his brother gets eaten by a tiger or his niece by the river crocodile. Go back in time and ask the fifty percent of the surviving population about the plague after it swept through their world.
Nope. Nature is nothing more than disparate energies interacting in a more or less coherent manner. Nature is not self-aware. It cannot give a sh*t about humanity for good or bad.
The only reason that ANY government ever gives a damn about its own people is when the citizens were clever enough to make the government's survival dependent on their survival and general welfare . . . with plenty of potent checks and balances to ensure that occurs.
Nature has more laws than any government ever did. And it has been a lot more creative (and efficient). Apparently, it is not necessary to care whether humans have an excellent ecosystem in which to thrive and evolve in order for nature to supply that. Government that does not ignore the laws of nature has the best chance at not being overthrown.
Believe whatever makes you happy. I'm not really trying to disabuse you of your chosen religion. The Taoists have an interesting take on nature. It might be worth studying their philosophy, because it has got a few things in common with yours.
