I never imagined the USA would be reduced to such insanity. We have gone from people seeking a place to practice their faith in very humble beginnings; free from tyrannical government rule. To a place under tyrannical government rule. Normal, upright, freedom loving governments do not persecute the people they are supposed to govern. They do not use fear tactics to steer the populace in the direction that the ruling 'elite' want to go. There have been many evil deeds done along the way, it's true. But the best of us have always strived by placing our own lives second to the good of the country, and of the world, when needed. Revolutionary war. The war between the states. WW1, WW2. Civil Rights marches. I am not, NOT calling for another war, but I fear one will happen anyway. The war between the states saw the greatest loss of American lives of any of the wars. 620,000 men and boys lost to end slavery in this country. The next such war will see losses that make 620,000 a pittance by comparison. An upcoming election could decide the ultimate fate of this nation. Democracy is not on the ballot as one party continues to cry. We are not a democracy. We are, and have always been a Republic. One citizen, one vote. The road we are on, though, will lead to the enslavement of all, regardless of skin color. Be wise in the next election, if we make it that far.
