HOW TF DID YOU DO THAT?!??
THAT'S AMAZINGGGG :D

This was taken using a 50 second exposure.
I took a little light that I use for a lot of my long exposure photos and first illuminated the back of the mailbox. I then illuminated the front but a little bit less than the back. Then I took the light started at the bottom, and just went around and around in circles around the mailbox "painting" the light into the image. Then I edited in Photoshop and boom.
Lmk if you have more questions :)

This honestly is a great photo! Way better than I could ever do. I'm going to save up for a great camera like yours.

Ty
My photos are better than people in my photo class who have $2000 dollar cameras, my photo teacher practically told me that without actually saying it. $2000 vs. $400, so you don't need really good, expensive gear to take good photos.

Hmm, good to know!

It can actually be really hard to be a photographer for a living and make money. That's probably why I'll be going into that trades and then photography will be a thing that I do on the side for fun. Idk yet though, but I do know that being in the trades would allow me to earn a lot of money depending on what I do, and I would be able to buy the camera equipment that I want.

But if it was long exposure, wouldn't you be warped into the photograph?
0 ups, 6mo,
1 reply
No, this is a bit tricky to explain though.
As long as you are moving around and aren't being illuminated by another light, you won't be warped into the photo. Long exposure photos keep the shutter of the camera open, allowing any source of light to be painted into the sensor; that light from the sensor is painted onto the photo that you are taking. When long exposures are used in sufficient lighting conditions, the moving objects can be seen as well, although they appear blurry.

So to makes the effect better, you capture the image in the dark?

on an unrelated note: is this your mailbox or did you just go up to a random mailbox and say: "well shit this looks like a nice mailbox for a photo, i dont care whose it is or if they allow it, i will take a pic anyway"
