It’s not the consumer’s duty to constantly buy games and DLC to “support” companies in the hope that they’ll get a sequel or new game.

When The Last of Us Part 1 came out for $70, it was an actual cash grab. Yet fanboys kept tweeting that they were gonna buy it just so Sony could make money to have remakes of PS2 games. You have no control over what Sony does with the money you gave them!!!!

If a game franchise dies, that’s the publishers’ and developers’ fault. Not the fault of the consumer. Just look at the latest Saints Row, which was so bad it caused the development studio to get shut down.
