Actually forget what I said. When you really get into the details, this thing is nothing like a switch.
My sisters who have switches had no idea how to use or even hold this thing.
In all technical terms, the Steam Deck isn't a game console. It's a computer with its own desktop mode and Linux OS. You don't even need Steam to play games if you experiment enough.
Steam has a verification system for which games work on the Deck. If it’s verified, it runs well. Ignore all of that. Most games that are listed as unsupported run just fine.
Minecraft isn’t on Steam, but you can run it through its own launcher on Linux.
Not only that, but it can emulate the old versions of Minecraft like the 360 and PS3 editions. So long as you know where to look them up if you know what I mean…
