I like all these actors. They’re great. But it feels like they’re in everything now. And it takes away the immersion to know that’s the person in it.
Same with the new Leonardo DiCaprio movie. It might be amazing, but it feels fake because it has actors in it that are universally known and are in everything all the time.
There are very few movies where I have flat out forgotten that what I was seeing was an actor play a role. I actually forgot it was Tom Hanks in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
