I'm even looking for a job and focusing on having a savings account
mainly for college and a place to stay when I move out
and I also want to start asking for advice like what to invest in, or if I should even invest (I want to know if it will help me financially and see what's the best choice)

There’s nothing wrong with investing like that. In fact the younger you start the better. To be fair, in 40-50 years, $1,000,000 will probably be only $400,000 in today’s money so who knows

and our apartment is already expensive as it is

Once you actually move out, it’ll be easier to just live cheaply. Move out of the area, and find a cost-friendly apartment for one person. Even sleeping in your car and showering in gyms is an option. It’s not luxury, but it’s still viable.

The main part is being able to save money. Not necessarily making more. That means not dating, not having a pet, not going out to eat a lot, and not buying new video games for $70 all the time.
