Its Biden's fault that the oil companies are no longer getting to lease millions of new acres of federal land (The people's land) until they use the leases they have already obtained first.. Thank You Joe Biden!!! And thanks ParadiseLost for giving Biden credit for taking on the greedy oil companies... It is Biden's fault they failed in their endeavors to take more land while refusing to drill on them. They all just want them for the future..

Your right.. Oil companies did not create extra storage for their production of oil in case US supply surpassed demand. They did not have enough storage capacity becuase the corporations did not think ahead. The United States is the #1 producer of oil in the world and exports product. But they have never been in a situation that demand would dry up. The world has always needed more and more oil. Its not any administrations fault that the oil companies did not plan proper storage capacity for when peak demand was outpaced by supply for the first time in history of the US.. Look for the source of the problem and get educated about who is actually responsible instead of creating your own narrative.

With the billions in tax breaks they get you would think they could create additional storage to expand the national supply in case of disaster but the corporations own and create the additional storage as its their property until sold. And it would keep the government from having to build and maintain more national storage and buying it from the oil companies. Its ok to have corporations manage their businesses properly for long term market stability.

The corporations stated they were literally giving it away becuase they had no place to store it... and they didn't want to shut down production...

One more thing.. Guess who is responsible for all the supply glut? The Trump Administration who pandered to the oil companies and granted them what they wanted in exchange for increased production.. So oil production increased to the point that the American consumer and all our export demand was satisfied and they had no place to put the additional supply. It shows what can happen when a President allows oil companies to do what they want to do. I don't think there has ever been an order to decrease US production of oil before, has there??? But if oil companies won't cut production here in the US then they must build their own additional storage...
