Anyone paying attention knows that the political left's leadership is currently blending strands of Socialist and Marxist nation-hating philosophy with fascism. George Orwell would NOT be shocked. Disgusted that they are using his 1984 as a 'how to' guide rather than as a cautionary tale to prevent the application of what the leftist leadership is trying like hell to bring about . . . but not surprised.
