Just finished a quick study on the Book of Job. Pence reminds me of Job's friends who kept saying he did something so horrible that it's the reason why he was put through the wringer like that. Not saying Trump is like Job but the lesson Job's friends eventually learned was not to make bad assumptions about someone. That's my understanding anyway. Just because Job went through that didn't mean he was guilty of something. Even Job, who was just trying understand why it was happening to him, went a bit of a different route at the end. If I understood it correctly he basically said to God, "You are the Teacher, I am the student. Teach me."
Not to make too much of an assumption about Pence but that's what I'm observing. Instead of trying to understand why Trump was/is being put through all of this, Pence decided to go along with the hate against Trump.
