Yep. Just look at the 12 disciples. Matthew was a tax collector, Luke was a doctor, and later Paul used to be a rabbi. Three 'educated professionals' and the rest were basically blue collar fishermen. David was a shepherd. As a matter of fact a good chunk of people in Scriptures started as 'blue collar' or 'average Joes and Janes' before God brought them into greatness. . .and their greatness was mostly because of the faith they had in God.
