Are you talking about a smithing table? You use a smithing table to make it, not a crafting table

You can make a tree farm and then use it to auto craft the planks then stairs, slabs, chests, door, crafting table, or trapdoor.

you can even recycle the iron from the damaged armor by smelting it into nuggets, and autocrafting the nuggets into ingots so they can be used for new armor
