So you are saying Iraqi's were better off under Sadam

I remember when Sadam was killed, the first thing that happened was the religious fanatics in the region that Sadam kept under control raided hospitals and pharmacys and destroyed medicines. I know he killed and tortured people, but look at the type of people he had to deal with, they are basically rabid animals. Plus, you can look at any African nation and the leaders pretty much do the exact same things he was,I wonder why we don't go in to stop them?

We have no bases in Africa, nowhere to stage from, no help and no reason to interfere. Iraq was a threat to allies that used treaties to force our hand. I think we overstayed our welcome, but you could argue that the average Iraqis are much better off now.

IDK, I am not trying to agrue any particular point here, but I believe it wasn't until Sadam fell that the religious fanatical groups such as ISIS and Hamas were able to take power. I feel that the middle east has become far more extreme since then as well. If Sadam was still in power , I do not believe that half of the horrors happening in the middel east would be taking pace now. But alas, I have no proof of that.

A good theory, you are basically saying that a strong fear of retaliation ends most of the madness and keeps the fanatics in line. That is the same argument that Israel is using now.
