It already has left Israel with Israel having border clashes with Lebanon, this could quite possibly become a regional conflict

Maybe Lebanon, with their support for Hezbollah, is a threat to go to war with Israel. Also, Iran is the only country that would side with Hamas in any significant way. (meaning in a way that we would consider a threat) After all, they support Hamas with money (and they have lots of money now), and military equipment, and probably planning (including the recent massacres in Israel.) If even one Arab country was offering to take Palestinian refugees, I might be more worried about it spreading in the region because that would show real support for the Palestine people. Of course there are plenty of moving pieces involved in the situation that none of us know about, so really all bets are off and you could be 100% right.

The real fear that I have is Demented Joe either gaffing us into a shooting war there, or doing something so insane that we are caught up in it.

I agree with all your points and I believe the likelihood of US troops on the ground there is low, however the likelihood hood of a regional conflict is pretty large, but like you said it could go either way

I think you're right. I don't think I've been paying enough attention to this, as it's ramping up rapidly! Although in my defense, when I wrote that, the hospital had not been hit (at least I hadn't heard yet.) That certainly cranked up the intensity. Not taking a possibility like that into account is not good, since obviously there was a strong chance of something like that happening. Clearly, it's time to crank up my focus. I certainly don't want to post something on imgflp based out of ignorance. That would make me look bad, since I'd be the only one... 🤣😂🤣

I would prefer to be wrong. There are too many dead already. If cooler heads don't prevail, and facts don't prevail, this hospital bombing could turn out to the flashpoint for a much larger regional conflict, like you mentioned.
