Yes. Yes. The sentiment is genuinely well intended. I've learned to appreciate the desire to help that it represents. It comes from a place of compassion, and that does need to be acknowledged. However, hearing anything to the effect of "life is worth living" just made me want to kill whoever said it and then myself because it feels like salt in the wound.
The truth is the opposite of what that cookie says, and any hope of improving the situation comes from leaning into that fact rather than away from it. Denying a problem gives it room to fester. Addressing it allows the potential to work through it.
