I mean it’s impressive that it took the game that long to break on a simple handheld device.

But it’s still frustrating since it results in some lost progress.

It’s definitely better than the demo which crashed 2 times in the span of an hour and a half.

And even at 30 fps it’s still a playable experience unlike SpiderHeck, Crab Champions, or Sonic Mania

i remember hearing that the human eye can only process 30fps anyway, so uh. yeah idk

People bring that up when they talk about movies. But video games are interactive, not just something you look at.

SpiderHeck is extremely fast paced and based on precision. Meaning every millisecond being shown counts.

In Sonic Mania, the frame rate is tied to game speed, so Sonic only moves half as fast at 30fps

yeah that's definitely true, lag in [at least some] video games can be critical in playing the game

I’m not gonna be one of those PC gamers that’s like “60FPS OR IT’S TRASH!” Some games are playable lower.

Especially since I’m on a Steam Deck which is only around as powerful as a PS4. And Dead Space is a next-gen title.

i can play with lag in some games, as long as the gameplay functions, it;s fine

If I was having the same experience with Dead Space on a 7900XT or RTX4090, then yeah I’d be mad.

i have no knowledge on computers so uh

Basically sacrificing performance for portability.

Which is why a lot of the games I play are either old (World at War) or indie (Crab Champions)

which is why i play on a switch, its fun to play on the go
