In all honesty, I was an anti-furry. Only kind of though, I just thought it was a little weird. At the time, I assumed being a furry was weird hobby thing. I was an innocent (enough) child around 12 or so who had yet to be exposed to sexual themes, so I thankfully didn't assume that was the case. Long story short, I was watching YouTube on a phone I wasn't supposed to have at a time I wasn't supposed to be up. On my home page was a video about what the fandom was "Really about." I'm a naturally curious person, so I decided to check it out, and see what they had to say. It was an older video, but it still did a good job explaining to me what the fandom was really all about. I remember the video having a fursuiter on a skateboard, and I was sold. Nobody that cool could be cringe. I did some deeper diving, remembered Imgflip, and ended up here, happy to see that there was a furry stream. I'm very happy to have become a part of this stream and gotten to meet some of the wonderful people in this community.
Honestly though, it might just have been the old Disney Robin Hood movie and Zootopia.
