It should just fill the entire screen with a meme and let you scroll it to the next one and overlay with all the buttons. Also play crappy music in the background for teens to dance too and allow video replies.

Oh forgot: it should randomly show you memes you aren't interested in to get you to scroll and get that endorphin rush when you find one you like.

As a relatively modern (2018) user, I prefer the "older" style anyways. besides, it doesn't really look that old to me anyways. Even then it's something that sets it apart from every other social media and thus something that shouldn't be changed.
